MEET OUR TEAM:

Polly Arrowsmith

Meet our new team member Polly

It’s been a busy and energising start to 2024 in the Kingdom and Sparrow office, as we’ve not only had a huge reorganisation of our studio space here in Falmouth, but we’ve also added two new members to our team.

Having joined the team in mid-December, Polly Arrowsmith has quickly found her feet as our new Account Executive. Polly joins us from a recent role as Marketing Manager at fellow cutting-edge Cornish business, Flexi-Hex in Porthleven. She not only brings with her a wealth of marketing and account management experience, but a comprehensive understanding of sustainable packaging and we’re so excited to see her bring this to our projects this year!

We caught up with Polly after her first couple of weeks in her new role and chatted about all things branding, B Corp, and beach barbeques:

What are you enjoying most about your new role?

One of the things I’ve loved about joining the team at Kingdom and Sparrow is being welcomed into a collaborative and creative agency and having the opportunity to build ongoing relationships with clients. There’s a really open, creative and synergetic approach here.

What brought you to our team?

I studied Psychology at Nottingham Uni and worked in marketing in the hospitality sector in London until Covid19 hit. The pandemic made me reevaluate my career path and I started looking at other jobs, hoping to be by the sea. I moved down to Cornwall for a role at Flexi Hex – a company that produces sustainable packaging based in Porthleven. My role at Flexi-Hex involved some design and branding elements, so it felt like a really exciting step to come to work at a design agency like Kingdom and Sparrow, where packaging is an important consideration for each project.

What are the values that drive you and your work?

I love that Kingdom and Sparrow are B-Corp accredited. The clients that we work with are often challenger or purpose-driven brands, so there’s a real sense of having a positive impact. Thinking about how the  packaging we design impacts the environment and finding creative solutions is very exciting to me!

What do you love to do outside work?

Living in Porthleven means that we get very excited about the annual Food Festival; we’re real foodies in my house! I also love coastal walks with my dog, sea swimming and beach BBQs on Porthleven beach. I’m really interested in film and photography, so you’ll often find me behind the camera in my spare time.
